Calvin Harris has officially confirmed his break-up with longtime girlfriend Taylor Swift on his Twitter account.
“The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect,” he posted.

But the split seemed to be amicable since Taylor Swift retweeted the message of the Scottish DJ.
A source has told US Weekly that the relationship merely fizzled out. “It just wasn’t working anymore,” the insider said.
Another source had also said that it was the DJ that broke things off.
And despite their amicable separation, it seemed Taylor Swift was severely disappointed because she actually thought that she may have a future with the DJ.
“She used to talk about their future a lot — marriage, babies. And although he wants all of that, it just felt a bit like she was all full-steam ahead, whereas he is more of a slow and steady, let things progress organically, kind of guy,” another insider said. He then added, “It was simply a case of not being right for each other… They grew apart quite quickly, and although he tried to give her what she wanted, he felt like they’re just in different places. There’s no one else involved.”
But the source did concur that Swift took the split well and that she “is doing OK now.”
Although the pair was also said to have had issues even before Harris car crash, the incident had nothing to do with their split.
In fact, Taylor Swift was the first person the Scottish DJ called after the incident because he wanted to assure her that he was alright. Taylor was genuinely worried and had wanted to rush to his side immediately.
This makes one wonder though, since they still seemed to be good friends. Will there be a song about Calvin Harris?
