Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) & Martin Freeman (John Watson) are both featured in all of the photo stills. Mark Gatiss, who plays Mycroft, and is also a writer for the series, along with fellow writer Steven Moffat, also appear in some of the shots.

The Killing star, Lars Mikkelsen, will be appearing in the next series of Sherlock as Charles Augustus Magnussen, he will be a new nemesis for our beloved detective.

The series’ third run will once again have three feature length episodes: “The Empty Hearse” written by Mark Gatiss, “The Sign of Three” by Stephen Thompson, and last, but not least, “His Last Vow” by Stephen Moffat.

Sherlock will be returning to BBC One in just a few months time, but there is currently no schedule for when Sherlock will air in the United States, according to the top-exec at PBS.
