There are some artists in the world that can just soothe you, need it be through their voice, their music or a combination of both. Carsen Gray is one such artist. Since first arriving on the music scene, she’s established herself as a captivating talent through her warm melodies and honest, heartfelt lyrics. Many of her songs weave together stunning messages of hope – something we could all do with more of right now – and faith, and ahead of unveiling her new EP Each Moment on January 28^th, today PopWrapped are delighted to premiere her latest single “Heaven’s Touch.”

Opening with a gentle guitar line that ascends and descends delicately before coming into full bloom, the song is a tender offering about how to deal with tough times. The sway of “Heaven’s Touch” replicates the highs and lows, ups and downs of life, while Carsen’s incredible vocals take center stage, reassuring all those who hear that the track that things will be okay. There’s a quiet confidence in Carsen’s voice that comes from deep within her heart and soul, and it’s this confidence, together with the tracks’ inspiring message, that makes it one of her strongest releases to date.

Asked about the story and message of the song: Gray shares: “”Heaven’s Touch” is about the highs and lows that life throws at you that can very much seem to be by a grand design. It seems like when something good happens in life, you turn around, and there’s something ‘bad’ or unfavorable happening and vice versa. We all go through difficult seasons in our lives, but God is always there to help lift our spirits, and sometimes when we don’t know where we’re headed or what’s next for us, it’s important to press into God for guidance and trust His plan. I feel like the music behind this song is reminiscent of vintage soul/Americana music, and the instrumentation is very warming to put you in the right vibe to enjoy it.”

To create the upcoming EP, she teamed up with her husband, primary collaborator and producer Joey Stylez. Together, they’ve made a collection that expresses huge gratitude for the gifts life gives us all, with “Heaven’s Touch” being a highlight and also an indicator of the themes and topics the record addresses.
