On Sunday, February 9 the cast of Frozen, including Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna) and Josh Gad (Olaf), reunited to give a live performance of some of the songs from the Disney movie.
The event was open to a small group of film-industry members. Some of the attendees included Disney-Pixar CCO John Lassester, co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and the writers of “Let It Go”, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Songs performed included “In Summer”, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”, “Love is an Open Door” and the most beloved song of the film, “Let It Go”.
Menzel led another live performance on Wednesday, March 26 at Times Square.
This time it was a sing-along that featured the New York City Children’s Chorus, the cast of If/Then (the Broadway production Menzel is currently working on), three YouTube soloists, and many others.
The Oscars are coming up on Sunday, March 2, for which Lopez and Anderson-Lopez are nominated for Best Original Song, and the film is nominated for Best Animated Feature.
Menzel will be performing live at the Oscars.
Don’t forget to tune in to the Oscars on Sunday!
