Two Dr. Shepherd’s at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital? That’s right, it has been made official.
According to TVLine, Caterina Scorsone, who plays the role of Amelia Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, has been bumped up to a series regular for the upcoming 11th season.
Dr. Amelia Shepherd has been known to fans primarily for her role on Private Practice, but has been a guest star on Grey’s Anatomy since season 7.
This is the first announced addition to the regular cast for the upcoming season. At the end of season 10, cast regulars Sandra Oh, Tessa Ferrer and Gaius Charles left the show.
The upcoming 11th season of Grey’s Anatomy will premiere on ABC in September.
