Cee Lo Green Releases New Track “Robin Williams”

Cee Lo Green is set to release his next solo album in November.  The album titled Heart Blanche has wielded its first single which will break you.  The song is called “Robin Williams” and it pays tribute to the late star while acknowledging his pain.  Cee Lo also references others who passed too soon, like Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

The song has a nice beat.  It’ll pull you in pretty quickly.  In the chorus, Cee Lo sings, “Life reminds me of Robin Williams.  We’ve got to laugh the pain away.”  Green talks about how none of us knows what anyone else is going through but if we can remember to laugh, we can overcome anything.  His fear in the song is not being able to remember how to laugh anymore because all the heroes are gone.  He calls Jim Belushi and Robin Williams, among others, heroes and he’s right.  Cee Lo calls out to the heroes in his moments of pain in the song.  This song is a touching tribute to so many that we’ve lost.
