Have you been waiting with baited breath for the new season of “Celebrity Wife Swap?” No? Oh, well, you’re not alone. Especially since this season’s premier episode doesn’t include wives… and only has one celebrity. Wait, what?
The June 23rd premier will feature Joan and Melissa Rivers and Bristol and Willow Palin. So instead of wife-swapping, they will be life-swapping. See what I did there? Joan and Melissa have been around for years. I am not ashamed to admit that I religiously watch E!’s Fashion Police and enjoy the hell out of the Joan’s straight up offensive jokes. But Bristol Palin? Really?
Despite her numerous attempts at capitalizing on her mother’s shoot to fame during the 2008 Presidential election, she is no celebrity, no matter what Dancing with the Stars wants us to believe. Her reality show, Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp, was, unsurprisingly, a huge flop. Maybe it’s time to throw in the towel, girl.
For one week, Joan and Melissa will hunker down in chilly Wasilla, Alaska, while Bristol and her sister Willow try to thaw out at Joan’s Hollywood pad.
Will you be tuning in for this strange episode? I’m no fan of the Palins, but Joan is always good for some high-quality entertainment!
