The first movie was a huge success, earning more than $160 million and gaining a huge fan-base. Now, are you ready for the sequel?
During a twitter Q&A, Channing Tatum revealed that he is working on making Magic Mike 2. A fan asked him “How about Magic Mike 2?” To which he replied “Yes, yes and yes! We’re working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger.”
At first, Tatum wasn’t sure if they [the “Magic Mike” film crew] could make a sequel, because of Steven Soderbergh’s retirement from directing theatrical features. But, fortunately for the fans of the first movie, the sequel WILL happen, most probably with the original cast.
Also, Tatum posted a picture on his official Facebook page with a caption: “What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe”
The film is expected to come out next year. Will Magic Mike 2 be a flop, or will it live up to the glory of the first movie? One thing is for sure, I can’t wait to see it.
