Charisma Carpenter Joins The Cast Of Scream Queens

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and angel actress Charisma Carpenter joins the cast of the upcoming horror comedy series Scream Queens, airing this September.

A talented Buffy/Angel star to join the cast of Scream Queens? I can completely stand behind this spectacular casting choice.

It is being reported that the BTVS alum Charisma Carpenter will join the cast of the upcoming FOX horror-comedy series, that now has an official air date of Tuesday, September 22nd. Carpenter will play the role of Ariana Grande’s mother who is confirmed to be a member of the Chanel KKT sorority clique, led by the sassy Emma Roberts. It is unknown how many episodes Carpenter will appear in, but after her flawless portrayal of the mean-girl-turned-warm-hearted-higher-power and fan favorite Cordelia Chase, we all must be hoping she will remain present in the series.

The actress played Cordelia for three seasons on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a main contributor of comedic relief, and her transition to the spin-off series Angel showcased Cordelia in her prime, fueling the fight against evil, and adding major character development that added layers to the series. I absolutely cannot wait to see Carpenter on Scream Queens; it’s always nice to see any of the BTVS and Angel cast in other roles, as anyone who has worked on either show clearly has the acting chops to handle anything they can have thrown at them.

Are you equally excited for Charisma Carpenter to join the horror series?
