I mean, we can talk about him quitting ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’….
Or we can stare at the photos above (and below).
Okay fine, a bit of a story first.
Former ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Charlie Hunnam is finally opening up about quitting ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ in the newest issue of ‘V MAN’ magazine.
Charlie opens up about the ‘anguish’ he went through, making the decision about leaving the role of Christian Grey (that eventually went to Jamie Dornan):
“Oh, it was the worst professional experience of my life,”
“It was the most emotionally destructive and difficult thing that I’ve ever had to deal with professionally. It was heartbreaking.”
It was previously reported that Charlie had to bow out due to filming of the final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’, but it still weighs heavy with him:
“I’m pretty mercurial and a very difficult, longwinded decision-maker at the best of times,” he said. “It was deeply unpleasant and challenging emotionally. I really, really pride myself on being a professional and a man of keeping my word. It means a lot to me, truly.”
“There was a lot of personal stuff going on in my life that left me on real emotional shaky ground and mentally weak,”
“I just got myself so f—–g overwhelmed and I was sort of having panic attacks about the whole thing. I just didn’t know what to do.”
While we are under the thought that Dornan did a fine job (fine as in mediocre), one has to wonder what Hunnam would have brought to the role.
