The Tony Awards aired on CBS June 8th at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The 69th annual awards ceremony made history when Audra McDonald won her 6th Tony award, the most any actor has ever won. The first awards of the night went to Bryan Crantson and Neil Patrick Harris. The event was hosted by Hugh Jackman who made a show of getting to stage by stopping to greet Neil Patrick Harris, Sting, and jump rope with the star of Rocky.

The big performances of the night included “One Day More” by the cast of Les Miserables, a medley from Aladdin, the song “If/Then” performed by Idina Menzel, a daring performance from Hedwig by Harris, and Jackman rapping with LL Cool J and T.I. in a rendition of “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If it Ain’t Got That Swing).”

The winners were chosen by almost 900 voters in the Actors Equity Association, the Dramatists Guild, the Stage Directors, and other groups.
