Childish Gambino Releases ‘Sober’, First Track From Upcoming Mixtape

Childish Gambino’s latest mixtape is really happening and, to make it official, Gambino released his first track “Sober”.

The mixtape, titled STN MTN/KAUAI, comes from the rapper’s childhood homes in Stone Mountain, Georgia and Hawaii’s Kauai Island.  The mixtape will feature two sides of music, with this smooth, up-tempo track being featured on the KAUAI side.

Gambino is not releasing the mixtape via Glassnote, the label who he claims mishandled his album Because the Internet, and instead will go through DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz label.

STN MTN/KAUAI is expected to be released in the next few weeks. Listen to “Sober” below.
