Chris Hemsworth Brushes Away The Idea Of A DC Rivalry

As reported by Digital Spy earlier today, Chris Hemsworth denies that there is a movie rivalry or competition between Marvel and DC Comics.

In a recent promotional interview for Rush with Chris Hemsworth, Jake Hamilton asked him about the rivalry between Marvel and DC. Chris Hemsworth simply said, “We’re just winning aren’t we? That’s not really a rivalry.”

Last time we checked, winning means a competition exists.

Regardless, the light-hearted comment by the suave Chris Hemsworth shows that this isn’t much of a concern to him, although fans of these publishing companies may disagree.  Some readers on UpRoxx’s article have already started up an interesting discussion regarding Chris’ comment.

Chris Hemsworth plays one of the lead male roles along with Daniel Bruhl in Rush, which is based on a true story that takes place during the glamorous golden age of F1 racing in the 70’s.

The story progresses on about a great sporting rivalry between English playboy James Hunt (Hemsworth) and his brilliant opponent Niki Lauda (Bruhl). Leading with very different lives, the story shows how both drivers are willing to risk everything to become the ultimate world champion.

Rush will be released on September 27.
