Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman will be getting a sequel…but she won’t be in it. Are you happy fans? Good! What do you think of the fact that neither Kristen Stewart nor her character, Snow White, will be in the movie?
This interesting move will feature Chris Hemsworth reprising his Hunstman role in a film aptly titled The Huntsman. It’s reported that Frank Darabont will take on the director’s chair. Furthermore, Charlize Theron will reprise her role as the Evil Queen. How, you might ask? Who knows! Her character was left suffering from a good case of death, but she did have magic at her disposal.
Apparently, Universal had plans for a Snow White-less spin-off from the get-go. Selling the film was a struggle, but thankfully (for the movie industry) it grossed $56 million during the opening weekend. It was probably due to Stewart’s Twilight fame that the movie did well at all, because this film was not very good.
How will they make this movie unique? It’s hard to tell. Right now, it’s a generic fantasy movie with a cute guy instead of a gusty, action movie focused on women empowerment.
What do you think? Is it smart to make the sequel? Or should they just let Snow White and the Huntsman fade into the periphery of our movie-watching minds? Sound off below!
