The Wrap reports that Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is in talks to take the lead role of the new Jurassic Park film titled Jurassic World.
Also in talks for a role in the fourth part of the Jurassic franchise is Life of Pi star Irrfan Khan, while the confirmed cast so far includes Bryce Dallas Howard [The Help], Nick Robinson [Melissa and Joey] and Ty Simpkins [Insidious].
Josh Brolin was rumoured to take the lead but the deal wasn’t sealed. If Pratt takes the lead, he would have to fit it in his schedule with his TV series Parks and Recreation. If the show gets renewed by NBC.
Pratt has played goofball Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation since 2009. All eyes were on him after his performances in Moneyball and Zero Dark Thirty. We will see him in The Delivery Man, Her, Guardians of the Galaxy. He will also be voicing the lead role in The LEGO movie.
Plot details about the film have been kept under wraps. There also hasn’t been any comments on Pratt’s casting.
The current release date has been set for June 12th, 2015.
