As Jurassic World makes its stomping dino-fest takeover at the cinemas this weekend, it is already generating buzz over a possible sequel.
And who wouldn’t be surprised if Universal doesn’t adhere to that?
According to box office figures, Jurassic World has become the first film to gross more than $500 million globally in one weekend. How insane is that?!
And according to The Hollywood Reporter, China was the country to gross the most for the film overseas, with over $100 million for just the opening weekend.
And it seems the star himself, Chris Pratt, is a shoo-in for a return.
When speaking to Entertainment Weekly prior to the release, Pratt was asked the question as to whether he had signed up for doing a sequel,
“I am. They have me for I think 38 movies or something,” he replied.
We know Pratt is a major jokester, so only time will tell if this is true or not since no official word has been made via the studio, but it is looking ever-so-possible given the success Jurassic World has experienced.
It’s in Cinemas now! Go see it and check out our review here.
