Recording academy producer, engineer, Top 40 producer, (and a man of many talents), Chris Varvaro just released his new track “Wicked Intentions” with Sunnie Williams on August 11, and we truly can not get enough of this track.

Joining his most notable tracks “Broken” and “Meant That,” “Wicked Intentions” is the latest installment of #pursounds by Chris Varvaro.  With a powerful and stunning vocal performance by Northern California native Sunnie Williams, “Wicked Intentions” surely will take you on a powerful journey and trigger a plethora of emotions. “Wicked Intentions” features Chris’ signature ambient sound design combined with his unique and powerful Progressive House & Downtempo drop hybrid. 

The message of the song stands for self-empowerment while also acknowledging the darkness that comes when falling for someone who knows how to take advantage of you for their personal benefit.

“I had a lot of fun making ‘Wicked Intentions’ with Sunnie.  For me, this song is about struggling to say ‘no’ and actively being blinded and manipulated in a relationship.  It is easy to fall in the trap thinking you are seeing someone for who they really are, but in reality you are involved with an illusion.” – Chris Varvaro explains.

Pursound is an Electronic Music genre created by Chris that combines ambient downtempo and progressive music with pop oriented top lines and theatrical lyrics. Chris has worked with acts on Sony, Billboard Top 40, and Warner.  He has amassed international recognition for his music by receiving DJ support and FM radio support on a number of his releases and recently signed with The 1220 Agency.  Chris was inducted to The Recording Academy in July 2020 as a producer and engineer.

Producer Chris Varvaro is a self-taught instrumentalist and music producer from New Jersey. At the age of five, Chris developed an interest in music and took up drumming. His fascination with the rhythms and cadences of the drums slowly faded when he was introduced to electronic dance music some years later, and he feverishly began creating music with a free trial version of Ableton Live 8.
