Christian Bale, who was announced a few weeks ago to be playing Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic, has officially dropped out.
Bale has cited that he does not feel like he is able to play the part, and dropped out of the project, which had Academy Award winners Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin as director and screenwriter respectively.
Previously, Leonardo DiCaprio was courted to play the lead role of Jobs, but also chose not to take part. It is unclear as to who will replace Bale, but it will need to be an actor of mammoth talent to be able to tackle Sorkin’s script and the incredibly complex man that was Steve Jobs.
I say get Edward Norton on the phone.
