As the star who brought the cape crusader to life in what is arguably the most successful and the most critically acclaimed version of Batman, Christian Bale’s opinion on who would step in the shoes of the iconic DC superhero would be important and interesting.
Although he did not clearly share whether he approved of the choice, Bale did reveal his shock on hearing the news.
Speaking to Empire Magazine Bale had this to say “When I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour.”
He also said that he might be ‘jealous’ of Ben for being able to portray Batman despite having done this in three movies. But he did note how ridiculous that is “But I’m 40,” Bale said “The fact that I’m jealous of someone else playing Batman…I think I should have gotten over it by now. I haven’t spoken with Ben, but I emailed him offering bits of advice that I learned the hard way. I would imagine he is doing everything he can to avoid anything that I did.”
Well we’ll judge when the end result comes out. Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice will come out on March 25, 2016
