Christopher Nolan has reportedly offered the lead of Cooper in his upcoming film ‘Interstellar’ to ‘Magic Mike’ actor Matthew McConaughey!
The sci-fi project was originally set up by Steven Spielberg in 2006 but was later taken over by Nolan earlier this year, who’s sibling Jonah was already on board, and is reportedly inspired by the work of Caltech physicist Kip S. Thorne and his theory that wormholes exist and can be used for time travel. Overall, the film apparently aims to depict an interstellar journey to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding, although plot details are, as they are on all Nolan films, scarce.
