It was recently announced that Colin Trevorrow (director of the indie hit “Safety Not Guaranteed”), would take charge of the fourth installment of the franchise as the movies director. The latest installment will features a script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, with Steven Spielberg, the franchise’s original director serving as the executive producer. The first three original films in the legendary franchise, which originally launched in 1993, have taken in an impressive $1.9 billion at the box office.
Trevorrow’s hiring actually comes after there was quite the speculation that Mr. Spielberg himself would return for “Jurassic Park 4.” Trevorrow needs to get this puppy going as Jurassic Park 4 is slated to hit theaters in June 2014.
