Cobie Smulders Talks Avengers: Age Of Ultron and How I Met Your Mother

Well get ‘oot of here! Our favourite Canadian, Cobie Smulders, will be reprising her role as Maria Hill for Joss Whedon’s Avengers sequel The Age of Ultron. We knew she’d be making a return, didn’t we? Well Cobie Smulders confirmed it to the Calgary Herald in an interview.

She hasn’t yet received her invitation to appear. At the moment though, “they know [she’s] in it” but not the degree to which she will be involved.

Smulders revealed she’s excited to read the script: “because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting.”

Smulders isn’t just a S.H.I.E.L.D Agent, she’s a fan of The Avengers. Perhaps not to the degree that Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) is but a fan nonetheless.

From S.H.I.E.L.D agent to news reporter Robin Scherbatsky on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother Smulders was also asked about how she’s feeling in regards to the impending end of the long running sitcom. About the show she’s admitted that the idea hasn’t yet hit her, but that by after Christmas it’ll probably hit her that the show is coming to an end.

However let’s not fret; we’ll continue to see Smulders onscreen in a myriad of projects, with comedy-drama Delivery Man opening November 22nd.

We don’t even have to wait very long to see Agent Hill! Smulders will be making an appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
