Though it was controversial at the time, Colorado is laughing all the way to the bank thanks to the legalization of marijuana within its borders.
In just one month, January, 2014, the state has pulled in $2 million in taxes from the sale of marijuana.
This is huge, since it is a slap in the face to all the naysayers who are so against the legalization of marijuana nationwide, as Colorado has proven, that this can work.
As of now, there are approximately 160 pot stores licensed by the state, and more are in the works.
