Parts of the rollercoaster Colossus collapsed earlier today during a fire at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
According to KTLA, The Los Angeles County Fire Department was called to the scene at the amusement park in Santa Clarita just after 1:30 p.m.”
The fire started at the top of the lift hill on the famous rollercoaster. The rollercoaster was closed at the time and crews were in the process of working on the ride. No injuries were reported due to the fire.

Six Flags Magic Mountain posted to their Twitter shortly after 2:00 PST, “Contractors were working on dis-assembly of ride. Ride has been closed for renovation since August 17.”
The Colossus is currently under renovation and was on schedule to re-open next year after a steel track refit under the new name Twisted Colossus.
