All hail the King of the Questions!
At Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, the hate group Westboro Baptist Church lugged their despicable signs and propaganda to the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel to protest, well, who knows, really? Paul Walker? A gaggle of gay allies? Sinners and the Hell bound? I mean, it’s anyone’s guess at this point. The only thing consistent about this dreadful group of scum is that they hate “fags” and love the camera.
Most people realize that the ignorance of the Westboro Baptist Church runs far too deep to ever try and cleanse. And, so, the only way to handle a gathering of close-minded bigots is to intentionally try and bait them, obviously. This is exactly what brilliant comedian Brick Stone did.
Shirley Phelps-Roper, the progeny of circus ring-leader Fred Phelps, worked very hard to talk over Stone and disregard his questions as just another one of the damned fighting on the wrong side. But Stone persevered, and the result is truly a magical bit of comedic genius.
So sit back, relax and enjoy. There’s nothing better than a bunch of stumped and dumbfounded lemmings looking disconcerted and confused. Brava, Mr. Stone!
