Conan O’Brien Makes ‘Furious’ Trip To Comic-Con

Conan O’Brien kicked off his string of live shows at Comic-Con with a Mad Max inspired road trip to the event.

Conan O’Brien has packed up his crew and headed to Comic-Con! The host is broadcasting his show this week from the mecca of all things geekdom.

The comedian told Zap2it that his show and the mega-popular convention were a “perfect fit.” He added, “This is taking the show not just to the next level, but seven levels higher because it is such an intense environment of people who are passionate about that world.”

When you’re off to Comic-Con and you’re Conan O’Brien, of course you can’t just make a normal entrance. The host kicked off his string of broadcasts with footage of his Mad Max-style adventure on the way to the event. Conan provided the flaming (literally) guitar solos while riding on top of a Fury Road inspired pirate ship/semi driven by a wild-eyed Andy Richter.

Conan also treated his Comic-Con audience to an “exclusive” peek at casting auditions for the new Wolverine. Potential replacements for Hugh Jackman included Nick Offerman, Larry King, Patton Oswalt, and Betty White, who appeared to already be clawing for the role.

Conan is sure to have more nerd-tastic fun in store for his Comic-Con crowd as he films the rest of this week including rare shows on Friday and Saturday. For those of us who won’t be able to experience it live, we can still see all the weirdness captured on film late nights on TBS at 11/10c and on the web at teamcoco.com.
