Ryan Murphy has announced Connie Britton as the latest addition to his new project, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.
On March 23, Murphy tweeted that the Nashville actress would be playing the role of Faye Resnick, a friend of Nicole Brown Simpson. Resnick had stayed in Brown’s condo shortly before Brown and Ronald Goldman were murdered.
Other cast members for the ten episode run include Cuba Gooding, Jr. as O.J. Simpson, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, and David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian.
The re-telling of the infamous 1995 murder trial will be the focus of the first season of American Crime Story. Subsequent seasons of the show will focus on other true crime events.
American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson is scheduled to air on the FX network some time next year.
