‘Constantine’ Will Stop Production After 13 Episodes

The NBC TV show ‘Constantine’ will halt production after only making 13 episodes.

Last Friday, the cast and crew of new supernatural series Constantine, were informed that the show will halt production once its 13th episode is done. Occult symbolism with the number aside, this is actually inline with the 13 episode order made for the series. Executives of NBC, had to make the decision with little information on the show’s ratings. Networks would usually make decisions to expand initial order after seven episodes had aired, but due to a delay in the show’s premier, executives had to make a decision only after five.

Despite all this, the show’s jump in ratings from episode to episode is encouraging. Constantine is still in contention for a second season. Fans of the show will still have the chance to see their favorite occult detective in the small screen. Hopefully we won’t be left with an unresolved cliff hanger like other cult TV shows that were prematurely canceled.

Constantine currently airs at 10pm on Fridays at NBC.
