Do you like getting your money’s worth? Andrew from Dallas, Texas certainly does!
As a member of Starbucks’ gold loyalty program he was entitled to a free drink, after purchasing twelve. And instead of going for his favorite coffee, like most of us, he decided to set the record for the most expensive Starbucks drink ever created.
There is no limit to what drink you can get free, though after this stellar $54.75 effort, they might want to rethink that.
The previous record was a $47.30 concoction, which included bananas, pumpkin powder and strawberries, but Andrew’s valiant attempt contains an eye watering 60 shots of espresso! He thought it through and provided his own 128-ounce glass just for the occasion and managed to get the baristas inside to help create the most expensive drink possible, and also one that would fit in his glass.
Starbucks don’t reveal just how much caffeine is in their coffee, but it’s rumored there may be as much as 4000mg of caffeine in that monstrous drink, which he dubbed “The Sexagintuple Vanilla Bean Mocha Frappuccino”, which is equivalent to over 100 cans of Coca Cola. After day 5, the giant Frappuccino was finally gone!
Aaaaaand done. Took 5 days, but I drank it all. #MostExpensiveStarbucks pic.twitter.com/auscv0MtNV
