Its been a while since we’ve gotten any juicy updates on the upcoming DC comics super-flick that will pit Ben Affleck’s Batman against Henry Cavill’s Superman. Luckily, we just may have some information you may be interested in.
According to The Wrap, a certain Girls star is first in line for a prime role in the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel. Adam Driver is said to be the studio’s top pick for the role of Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing. Rumor has it two other actors are still in the running.
Driver has become somewhat of a favored fixture for Warner Bros., the studio developing the film, since his noteworthy appearance in the recent comedy This is Where I Leave You. He was also nominated for an Emmy for his work on the award-winning HBO series Girls.
Aside from Dick Grayson, WB is neck-deep in the casting process for the epic sequel’s female lead. The role is, as yet, undetermined, but the forerunner is Olga Kurylenko. There is potential for the role to be that of the one and only Diane Price, aka Wonder Woman, a character that is expected to appear in the film.
Zack Snyder will once again take the wheel on this Superman follow-up, which is scheduled for a 2015 release.
