If you were a kid in the 90s, you may or may not be super excited to read what I am about to tell you.

The long-awaited trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has finally been released online. The film is directed by Jonathon Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, who directed all of the Transformer films.

Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg, William Fichtner and Megan Fox star in the upcoming film. A lot of people are skeptical about this film because Michael Bay is producing it.

The film features new designs of the turtles, who are played by Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), and Pete Ploszek (Leonardo).

The sneak peek starts off with April O’Neil’s father’s voice saying, “Crime, violence, and fear has run rampant…Our great city is being destroyed.” The trailer features a bit of a backstory of the film. It looks very modern with a great deal of special effects.  As we know, the turtles live in the New York City subway system and they fight the overrun crime in the city.

TNMT first appeared in the 1984 comic book by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The comic book has influenced films, cartoon series, video games, character costumes, and toys to be produced.   Four previous films have been made using the characters, the last being a CGI-animated version released in 2007.
