Many people know Joss Whedon as the guy who brought the X-Men to a whole new day and age with Marvel’s Astonishing X-Men. He is also the guy who penned and directed hyper-mega-blockbuster The Avengers and the up-and-coming Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
However long before his big screen success, geeks and TV fans from all over the globe rejoiced at his incredible shows which included Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly. Interestingly enough, when asked what are the three moments from the shows that he is most proud of, he chose three iconic moments from these fan favorites.
From Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
– The musical, hip-and-happening “Once More, With Feeling”.

– Buffy’s mother found dead by her daughter in “The Body”. This was a particularly interesting scene since it broke with all the schemes of how the show worked and gave it a darker, edgier one.

From Firefly:
– “Objects in Space”, a thrilling, mature episode that served as the show’s premature finale. A bounty hunter infiltrates the Serenity and all hell breaks loose for the crew on-board.
