The ladies have been represented!
An 11-year veteran FDNY firefighter, Danae Mines, is the first female firefighter to ever be featured in the sexy calendar. Mines went through a bit of a hard time, though, when she was first told that being in the calendar was reserved for male firemen only!
Mines is dressed in a grey t-shirt, uniform pants and a pair of suspenders. Mines is happy to be raising money for the FDNY Foundation, but says that’s not the only reason she did it.
“Besides raising money for the FDNY Foundation and representing for women, I wanted other females to see me and inspire them to do this job.”
The calendars are $15.95 each and will benefit the FDNY Foundation. The foundation provides fire safety education and equipment and training for firefighters.
