Gone is kid-friendly movie star Daniel Radcliffe. He is moving onto more sexier roles.
In his up-coming movie Kill Your Darlings, Radcliffe plays poet Allen Ginsberg alongside on-screen lover Dane DeHaan. According to Digital Spy, in order to shoot a particular scene, the young actor had to be given “step-by-step instructions.”
“I was doing a gay sex scene and the director (John Krokidas) was giving step-by-step instructions,” he told Graham Norton. “The favorite note I have ever had was when we were kissing and the director shouted, ‘Not like that. Crazy sex kissing!’”
A far cry from anything given to him during the Harry Potter movies, where the farthest we ever saw on-screen was kissing.
“I spent ten years in a kids’ franchise and that was definitely a moment of, ‘Yes, I think I’m moving on’,” he concluded.
The film, which also stars Elizabeth Olsen and Michael C. Hall debuted at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. It is set to premier worldwide later this year.
