Daniel Radcliffe Talks Getting Waxed In Interesting Places For Equus

Remember back in 2007, when our favorite wizard bared it all on the revival of Equus on London’s West End then on Broadway? Well, Daniel Radcliffe recently revealed to Empire Magazine what he did to prepare for the controversial scene that required him to be nude on stage.

Through a process called “sugaring,” he got his bottom waxed and void of all hair!

Why you ask? “When I first did Equus I was very self-conscious about arse hair, so I made the ill-fated decision to have it removed,” he told Empire.

For his time on Equus his bum may have been as smooth as a baby’s bottom, but Radcliffe doesn’t seem to care any longer. He definitely doesn’t want to go through that pain of waxing again.

“It was f**king painful. I had it done once and I no longer care about my hairy arse! But it’s not as bad as you’d think. I’m probably only a six on the arse!” said Radcliffe on the subject.

Nudity and showcasing his body doesn’t seem to bother him at all, as long as he does the material justice.

“If you take the job, you sign up for what you read in the script. You can’t then get to the set and suddenly have a freak-out and say, ‘I can’t do this’,” he said.

That’s a sign of a well-groomed actor who is going to do big things. He has proved over and over again that he isn’t just Harry Potter.
