Darbian FTW! Super Mario Bros. World Record Beaten by 66 Milliseconds

Expert gamer, Darbian, has beat the Super Mario Bros. world record by 66 milliseconds.

In just 4 minutes, 57 seconds, and 627 milliseconds, an expert gamer has beat the world record for fastest run of the original Super Mario Bros. The gamer, known as Darbian, beat the previous world record, held by i_o_l for a year, by 66 milliseconds.

Darbian, who performed the speedrun on an actual NES console (rather than an emulator), documented the event on Twitch. He later said that he made “noticeable mistakes” when discussing breaking the record on Reddit.
