This weekend the Environmental Media Awards will be returning for its 23rd annual show, and Darren Criss will be part of it! The Glee star will open the musical performances and will be joined on the “green carpet” by celebrities like Matt Damon, who will be picking up the EMA Ongoing Commitment Award, and Bill Mckibben, who will receive the EMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Other guests include Anna Getty (Green Parent Award) and Hayden Panetierre (Futures Award), but according to the Huffington Post, there will also be some “funny surprises.”
For those who don’t know yet, the Environmental Media Association is a non-profit organisation that aims to educate the public on environmental issues through the use of media and entertainment. The EMA awards are handed out every year to honour those celebrities who have made efforts to improve environmental awareness across the globe.
The entire event, including Darren Criss’ performance, will be live-streamed on Facebook at 5:30 PM Pacific Time (1:30 AM BST).
