It looks like David Beckham is going to have a chance to exercise his funny bone yet again come March! Beckham is set to join Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst for an Only Fools and Horses sketch. The duo will reprise their roles as Del Boy and Rodney for the first time in over a decade.
This won’t be Beckham’s first time in a comedic role he has actively participated in sketches for charity over the years. However, it seems that fans are more than excited for the return (as brief as it is) of Only Fools and Horses.
The sketch will run as a part of Sport Relief, a biennial charity event that pairs up Comic Relief and BBC Sport, set to air on March 21. Coverage will be aired live from Olympic Park and run from its kick off on March 21 through 23. Former X Factor winners Little Mix have recorded a cover of Cameo’s “Word Up” to be the theme song of the event.
Also slated to appear are presenters Gary Lineker, Gaby Logan, Claudia Winkleman, Jack Whitehall and Clare Balding. Participating in the celebrity fundraiser is Davina McCall, who is quite ambitious in her attempt to get from London to Edinburgh in a week. The catch is all her traveling must be done by cycling, running, and swimming. God speed!
