David Tennant Announced As Main Villain In Marvel’s Jessica Jones

It has been announced that David Tennant has been cast as villain Kilgrave in upcoming Netflix Marvel drama, “Jessica Jones”.

From Doctor Who to super villains, David Tennant’s career is really reaching for the stars, as today it was announced that he has been cast as the main antagonist in Netflix’s upcoming Marvel series,Jessica Jones.

Bad, bad boy.

The Doctor Who star will play Zebediah Kilgrave, an imposing figure from Jessica’s past.

Sounds ominous.

According to Entertainment Weekly and the official description, the role pits Tenant as the main antagonist “sending shockwaves through the superhero community.”

For those who aren’t in the know, Jessica Jones will star Krysten Ritter as the titular heroine, who is rebuilding her life after a short superhero stint by setting up her own agency and solving cases.

Tennant’s character is said to produce pheromones which help him to control people’s minds and do his bidding.

Yup, sounds like a villain to me.

Netflix has gotten Marvel madness, and has commissioned four series, including this one, for straight to series order for the streaming. They include Daredevil and Luke Cage.

Personally, I’m really excited for another lady-led drama to hit the airwaves, and long may they reign.

David Tennant seems to making his mark stateside, as this casting comes quick off the heels of his starring turn in the US adaptation of his UK hit Broadchurch. I spy excellent things in the future for our favourite Doctor.

Let’s get excited about Jessica Jones people, especially with the cast rounding out ever so nicely.
