Morena Baccarin, who is known for ABC’s V reboot, Homeland, and Gotham, will be starring in Deadpool alongside Ryan Reynolds, as his love interest. According to her character’s description, she grapples with falling for a guy with a hideously deformed face.
For those who aren’t too familiar with Deadpool, he undergoes an experimental treatment to cure his cancer, leaving him scarred in the process. In addition, he has a regenerative healing power, allowing him to live longer.
Tim Miller is directing the movie, and it’s based on a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner are on-board as producers for the project. Other notable cast members include Gina Carano as Angel Dust and T.J. Miller.
Deadpool is still set to hit theaters on February 12, 2016.
