She’s already a superstar in her own right, while he’s on the fast track to dominating the music industry as a solo artist, so why not combine their star power?
Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas made a big announcement today (May 26): they’ve partnered with Phil McIntyre, a talent manager and music executive, as well as Hollywood and Island Records, to create their own record label.
The two musicians, as part owners of Safehouse Records, will be searching for new talent to sign.
Lovato also plans to release her fifth album through Safehouse.
For this new venture, it’ll be all about the artist.
“I’ve worked closely with both Nick and Phil for years and we share the same point of view when it comes to making music. It’s incredibly exciting to be part of this new company where I’m in control of all aspects of my career. I can’t wait to share what we’re working on!” she said in a press release.
“Our focus at Safehouse Records is to put artists in control of their art while providing them the best tools to manage their careers,” Jonas and McIntyre added.
