It’s almost a billion dollar franchise churning out blockbuster after blockbuste. Denzel Washington, however, wants nothing to do with it.
It’s just been revealed that Academy Award winning actor was approached to take a minor role inFast & Furious 7. It would eventually develop into a lead role in Fast & Furious 8.
According to Deadline, the films director James Wan is looking for a big star to fill the role and Washington was at the top of that list though no details have been released on the actual role or what Washington turned it down.
Jason Statham though has signed onto the flick and will reportedly play the villain in the upcoming seventh film extending on from his cameo at the end of Fast & Furious 6.
James Wan, who is most known for directing the Saw series, is taking over the directors chair from Justin Lin. The seventh film will kick start a new trilogy.
