Developing Story: Shooter On The Loose In Canadian Town, Police Casualties

There is a search going on for a man who went on a random shooting spree and has already killed three officers as well as injuring two.

The armed man, who has been identified as 24 year old Justin Bourke, has gone on a murderous rampage for no apparent reason. He has been caught on video and spotted at least three times since, but is still nowhere to be found.

The small city of Moncton is horrified at the events taking place in their neighborhood. The woman who first took the video spotted an armed man outside her window and only moments later did she realize what was happening. “It was really warm in the house, so we opened up the windows in the family room, and there he was going across through the back with this rifle on his shoulder,” she told CBC. “I said, ‘Oh my God, there he is with camouflage and the headband and a gun,’ and it looked like a bow he had with him, and I mean he was just through our backyard,” she said.

Another man, Will Njoku said he was emptying his dishwasher and putting his young children to bed just before 8 p.m. when he heard popping sounds. “We’re scared, obviously. We’re more terrified for the people who this shooter is basically in their backyard. I can picture these people’s houses,” he said.

People have taken to Twitter to express shock, sadness and fear, but also keeping the condolences and prayers rolling for the city.
