After a long battle with cancer, reality star Diem Brown passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, at the age of 32, People confirms.

After a long battle with cancer, reality star Diem Brown passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, at the age of 32, People confirms. Brown reached television fame after appearing in many seasons of the MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge. 

MTV released a statement shortly after news of her passing was made public:

MTV is tremendously sad to hear the news that Diem Brown has lost her long battle with cancer. We send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. Diem was a true fighter and brought passion to everything she touched. We will miss her.

Brown beat the odds and overcame the disease in 2006 and again in 2012. However, in August 2014, she shocked many people with the devastating news that she had been diagnosed with cancer for a third time.

She continued her fight and still inspired many with her determination to beat cancer once again, “You can count me out all you want,” she recently told People. “But I’m not out. I’m fighting. I want to be here.”

Diem Brown will truly be missed by family, friends, and the fans that loved watching her prove many skeptics wrong by dominating challenge after challenge on MTV. We send well wishes to her family as they get through this loss.
