He may be late to the whole Instagram thing, but Bryan Singer, director of X-Men: Days of Future Past and the first two X-Men films way back in the early 2000s, may have one of the best arrivals I’ve ever seen.
His first post on his newly created account is a shot of the script treatment for X-Men: Apocalypse:
The screenplay is dated June 6, and credits Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty, and Dan Harris, but more importantly references The Four Horsemen, who made a short appearance in the post credits seen of DOFP. All this makes me wish it was May 27, 2016 already.
Meanwhile, in other X-Men news, Days of Future Past is now the highest grossing film of 2014, taking the top spot from another Marvel film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. While Future Past took in $712.7 million, much more than any other X-Men film, they have the latest Transformers film hot on their heels, after having the biggest opening weekend of the year.
