According to the Huffington Post, former Back to the Future costars Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox may be reuniting in the near…well, future.
When asked by a fan whether or not he and Lloyd kept in touch, Fox tweeted that Lloyd was shooting next week’s episode of The Michael J. Fox Show.
Fox butts heads with Lloyd, who portrays a principal at the school where Annie (Betsy Brandt), Fox’s wife, teaches.
The episode films next week in New York and airs this spring, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
This will be the duo’s second reunion since Robert Zemeckis’ Back to the Future trilogy ended in 1990. Lloyd played Dr. Emmett Brown and Fox played Marty McFly in the science fiction films.
Before The Michael J. Fox Show, Fox starred in the sitcom Spin City, where Lloyd guest starred as his character’s political mentor in the cleverly-titled episode “Back to the Future IV: Judgment Day” in 1999.
Other guests on the spring season of the comedy include actresses Brooke Shields and Anne Heche, and singer/songwriter Sting.
The Michael J. Fox Show airs Thursdays at 9:30 pm EST on NBC.
