The fourth season of the hit show, has the promise of romance for widower Tom Branson (Allan Leech) in the form of the new nanny brought in to look after the beautiful baby Sybbie.

Show creator Julian Fellowes has warned viewers to expect that Lady Mary will not stay single for long.

“I think she’s one of those people who find it quite difficult to be generally genial and those people need a partner, because otherwise there’s no-one they’re ever completely relaxed with.”

There is also drama downstairs with Mrs Patmore coming to terms with the new technology that arrives in the kitchen, which Daisy has no issue with.
