FUNimation has announced that the upcoming film Dragon Ball Z Resurrection F will be released in the US with an english dub this August for a limited time

FUNimation has officially announced that the English dub of the film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F will be released in cinemas in the US this August from the 4th through the 12th. The film centers on the return of the iconic villain known as Freeza who is set on getting his revenge. “We are thrilled to bring fans – both new and old – this latest film from series creator Akira Toriyama,” said Gen Fukunaga, CEO and founder of FUNimation, adding “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is a visually stunning movie and offers even more action and comedy than Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.”

The film earned a whopping $27 million in Japan’s box office already, making it the biggest opening in Japan this year, easily surpassing the success of Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Gods. With such a positive general response from devoted DBZ fans, it was confirmed that Dragon Ball Z will return with a new anime series titled Dragon Ball Super later this year. PopWrapped had the privilege of attending and reviewing the premiere of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F in early April, and we can confirm that you will in-fact want to make an effort to go see the film while you have the chance – with the stellar voice cast FUNimation has in store for anime lovers.

You can watch the exclusive English dub trailer now via FUNimation on the DBZ website, and FUNimation also notes that fans are invited to sign-up at www.dragonballz.com to be alerted when ticketing opens. Subscribers can also look forward to receiving exclusive offers, sneak peeks and other news about the film.
