CSI is to get a new star in the shape of The Vampire Diaries Matt Davis.
According to reports in TVLine, Davis will be playing the recurring role of “a smart and athletic son of a decorated fireman”. The star will be joining the crime drama as it enters its 14th season. The character which is as yet unnamed will be a loner with “the soul of a poet and the mind of a mathematician”. We do not yet know what role Davis’ character will play within the dynamic of the program or if his inclusion has anything to do with the absence of George Eads.
Davis who is best known for his role of Alaric on the CW hit has also appeared in shows such as Damages and Cult.
CSI Season 14 returns on Wednesday 25th September on CBS.
