Nabbing a rather well-sized portion of Nintendo’s E3 2014 conference was a brand new IP by the name of Splatoon.
Now, it certainly has a Team Fortress 2-inspired aura, but the game in and of itself seems to be, overall, its own entity. While it won’t be able to stand up against Super Smash Bros. or The Legend of Zelda, it seems to be a pretty sweet way to pass the time with friends and foes alike over the wonderful World Wide Web.
After all, who doesn’t want to play as a squid/human hybrid shooting ink out of a water gun and all over the place to mark their territory?

A release date for Splatoon will be announced closer to launch.
